The STM announces an improvement of service for Line 178 – Pointe-Nord / Île-des-Sœurs

Montréal, August 23, 2017 – Société de transport de Montréal (STM) today announced improvements of service on Line 178 – Pointe-Nord / Île-des-Sœurs, effective August 28.

The service improvements include the extension of the route to reach Place du Commerce, Chemin du Golf, Boulevard Marguerite-Bourgeoys and Boulevard de l’Île-des-Sœurs, with an extended schedule from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and an improved frequency during rush hours. l’Île-des-Sœurs customers thus will see their mobility experience improved through better access to services and a better service offering to and from downtown, as well as better service on weekday evenings. This measure represents an addition of approximately 7,600 of service annually.

Remember that the STM will add 100,000 hours of bus service in 2017. This initiative follows the improvements made in 2017 to improve customer experience.
