March 11: The STM is with you wholeheartedly

News

On Quebec’s first National day of remembrance for victims of COVID-19, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) will pay homage to the memory of the victims by stopping all métro trains at 1 p.m. for a moment of silence. A message of sympathy will be played on loudspeakers in the métro network and on STM buses.

Through this gesture, the STM wishes to express its condolences to the friends and families of those whose lives have been lost to the disease and, in particular, of the one STM employee who passed away from complications related to COVID-19 on January 14.

On this solemn occasion, the STM also wishes to pay tribute to healthcare workers and all those who have remained steadfast on the front lines to provide essential services.

Since the start of the pandemic, the STM has continued to deliver its full range of services for essential trips and, especially, for those dubbed the guardian angels of Quebec.

The STM is with you wholeheartedly.
