A Win for the Montreal Alouettes
Bus Service Modifications for the Grey Cup Parade

Montreal, 25 November 2002 – Following the Alouettes’s victory in Edmonton on Sunday, a few STM bus lines will be rerouted next Wednesday, November 27, so the Grey Cup Parade may be held in the streets of downtown Montreal.

As a result, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., the downtown portion of these regular routes will be slightlly altered and buses will have to detour onto side streets :

  • 15 – Sainte-Catherine
  • 57 – Pointe-Saint-Charles
  • 66 – The Boulevard
  • 107 – Verdun
  • 165 – Cte-des-Neiges
  • 166 – Queen Mary

Football fans wishing to celebrate the winning Montreal team are invited to take the métro to attend the parade. Since ridership levels are usually heavier after the event than before, the STM recommends purchasing your return fare ahead of time.

Transit users are invited to call the TELBUS number appearing on their bus stop panel when planning their transportation to these events. For trip information, please call A-U-T-O-B-U-S (288-6287). More useful information can be found on the STM’s website at www.stm.info
