Festivals held in downtown Montreal
Several bus lines will be rerouted
between June 26 and August 2, 2003

Montreal, 25 June 2003 – With so many special events being held in the Place-des-Arts and Quartier latin sectors of downtown Montreal throughout July and early August, several Société de transport de Montréal bus routes will frequenly be modified, either for a few hours or for the entire day.

Indeed, from June 26 to August 2, the following bus lines will be rerouted at different times to allow for the installation of festival sites, including the Jazz Festival, the Just for Laughs Festival and the Montreal Francofolies:

  • 15 - Sainte-Catherine (and nighttime 358 bus route)
  • 55 - Boul. Saint-Laurent (and nighttime 363 bus route)
  • 80 - Av. du Parc (and nighttime 365 bus route)
  • 125 - Ontario
  • 129 - C�te-Sainte-Catherine
  • 535 - Voie r�serv�e du Parc/C�te-des-Neiges

No bicycles in the métro on July 1st
Because of the significant increase in métro ridership generated by the Jazz Festival’s huge open air concert, as well as by the Canada Day parade, no bicycles will be allowed in the métro as of 10 a.m. Tuesday July 1st until closing time. The STM thanks transit users for their usual cooperation.
