Montreal, November 5, 2003 –  The chair of the Board of directors for the Société de transport de Montréal, Claude Dauphin, is proud to announce that following the renewal of the collective agreement with the bus drivers union last September,  an agreement has been reached last evening with the Syndicat du personnel administratif, technique et professionnel du transport en commun (SCFP-2850-FTQ) representing more than 600 employees. The agreement, which respects the negociation parameters proposed by the STM, still has to be approved by union members in a meeting to be held. Details if the agreement will be made public in coming days.

The STM is currently negociating with three other unions to renew collective agreements that also expired in January 2003: the Syndicat du transport de Montréal - CSN (about 2,000 maintenance workers), the Syndicat des professionnels (200 members) and the Syndicat des travailleuses et travailleurs – CSN (190 divisional clerks).
