The STM at the Salon des Gnrations

Montreal, March 15, 2007 - In its efforts to promote its products and services to its Montreal clientele, the STM is participating in the Salon des Gnrations – informing visitors about its services, and about the many informational tools available to them so that we can travel better together.

“The STM is proud to be participating in the Salon des Gnrations, which offers us an excellent opportunity to get closer to our clientele,” explained Mr. Claude Trudel, Chairperson of the STM's Board of Directors. “By ensuring reliable, secure, and comfortable transportation on its integrated bus and metro system, the STM is an invaluable partner in Montreal's major events.”

With a premium location at the Salon, the team of STM representatives will inform visitors about changes to the route map for 2007. Visitors will also be invited to climb aboard the 2007 model NovaBus and to discover its new features.

STM employees will welcome visitors in the “STM.Info zone,” specially equipped with computers and telephones, to allow people to become more familiar with the STM's client information tools. These include the STM web site (www.stm.info) as well as the AUTOBUS phone service (514 288-6287) for schedules, and
STM-iNFO, for routes and general information.

Talks on public transit

The STM will be offering Salon-goers a series of interesting talks on aspects of public transit and what's new in the field. Six speakers from the STM will cover a variety of topics, including services offered, sustainable development, measures that have been adopted for the transportation of people with reduced mobility, the evolution of public transit, future metro and bus projects, and STM client information.

Drawing of 12 CAM monthly passes

During the three days that the Salon des Gnrations runs, raffle tickets will be handed out to people attending the talks. We will be drawing for four monthly CAM passes each day.

Finally, Studio Photo-Art will be on site to take photos for the Carte privilge, allowing for reduced fares for students and seniors.

The STM hopes to see many of you at the Salon des Gnrations!
