Montréal Museum Day:
With the STM, go from one museum to another without a passport !

Montréal, Mai 5, 2009 – For a 23rd year, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) will be on hand to provide free transportation to all those who want to enjoy the Open Doors event, part of Montréal Museums Day, held Sunday, May 31.

“For this year’s edition, Montréal Museums Day is giving participants the opportunity to travel from one museum to another without a passport! The theme for the event, Museums without borders, meshes perfectly with what the STM is doing by making a shuttle service available to them,” emphasized the chairman of the STM board of directors, Michel Labrecque.

“Proud to have been the official transporter for Montréal Museums Day since 1987, the STM hopes that a large number of citizens will play tourist in their own city and visit any one of the 30 participating museums,” added Mr. Labrecque.

In addition to putting a shuttle service at their disposal, the STM reminds visitors they can also use its regular transit network to take part in the event, as most participating museums are accessible by public transit. Those who plan on using the regular bus and métro network for their visit should, however, remember that they must show a valid transit fare.

By calling A U-T-O-B-U-S (514 288-6287), visitors can obtain bus timetables at their stop. For all other information, they can call STM●INFO (514 786-4636). More transit related information is available from the STM website.
