Press release

On Monday, June 22,
the 210 – John Abbott and 219 – Chemin-Ste-Marie
bus routes will be modified

Montréal, June 17, 200
9 The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) wishes to inform clients that the 210 – John-Abbott and 219 – Chemin-Ste-Marie bus routes will be modified as of Monday, June 22, 2009. From that day forward, buses will run along Jean-Yves St. and on the private access roads belonging to the shopping centre located to the west of Jean-Yves, in the city of Kirkland.

This modification is necessary to ensure the comfort and safety of passengers who must board or exit the bus between the Highway 40 service road to the north and the access ramps to Jean-Yves St. For clients travelling aboard either one of these bus routes, this change will effectively bring them closer to their point of departure or destination, usually either the shopping centre or the nearby residential area.

The current bus stop will be cancelled and replaced by two other stops located closer to the main sources of transit use in the area, improving local transit service and reducing the walking distance for clients of either bus route. Moreover, adding a bus shelter to the first of these two stops, the one located on Jean-Yves, will make waiting more comfortable.

Clients are invited to consult the summer 2009 Planibus timetables for these two bus routes, as they feature the new service schedule with all-day departures. For all other information involving transit trips, clients should call STM-INFO (514-786-4636), consult the new network map or STM website.
