The STM invites the public to make the most of luminothérapie 2011

Press release

Montréal, December 15,  2011 –  A dynamic company, striving to get closer to an increasingly connected and environmentally-aware public interested in experimenting with new art forms, the STM is proud to team up with the Quartier des spectacles for Luminothérapie 2011, featuring unique displays.

The public is invited to go and admire these installations, as each one is located near a métro station, namely Saint-Laurent and Berri-UQAM. The public is also invited to make public transit their preferred means of transportation, thereby avoiding traffic congestion and parking problems, for an even more pleasant experience.

The STM reminds customers that, when planning their transit use, they can call A-U-T-O-B-U-S (514 288-6287) or consult Planibus timetables. For all other information, including travel directions on the island of Montréal, they can call STM-INFO (514 786 4636). The STM website ( www.stm.info ) also features a wide range of useful public transit information.

Lastly, those who wish to head out there with their family can also fully enjoy the benefits of the Family Outings program allowing up to five children under 12 to ride for free when accompanied by an adult with a valid fare card on weekends and legal holidays. As a special gift during this festive period, the STM has extended the program between December 24, 2011 and January 8, 2012 inclusively. With this program, special discounts are also available through numerous sponsors. For more information, visit: www.stm.info/English/info/a-famille-3.htm
