Montréal, February 26, 2014 – The Société de transport de Montréal is pleased to announce that the Family Outings program will be in effect during the school break from February 28 to March 9. A number of STM partners will be offering fare-card holders generous discounts to allow families to take full advantage of their break.
Get around for less
The Family Outings program allows up to five children aged 11 and under to travel for free when they are accompanied by an adult with a valid fare card. For the school break, this promotion will be offered from 6 p.m. on February 28 to the end of service on March 9.
Discounts for public transit users
To help families take full advantage of their break, several STM partners will offer discounts and promotions to customers with valid transit fares. Outdoor activities, museums, shows, theatre: there’s something for everyone, and both kids and adults will find what they’re looking for.

Take a break from your car
For the school break, the STM suggests that drivers leave their cars at home, forget about the hassle of finding a parking spot, and simply allow themselves to be chauffeured by their own personal drivers. Don’t forget that for kids, riding the bus or the metro can be fun and impressive!
