Montréal, June 14, 2017 – Société de transport de Montréal (STM) today announced the improvement of service to Parc Jean-Drapeau. This follows the improvements in 2017, which will be deployed effective June 19 to improve the customer experience.

The STM will offer an extension of the service on Line 777 – Casino to cover the métro operating periods completely (from 5:30 a.m. to 1:20 a.m. on Saturday and from 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. the rest of the week). In addition, service will be added to Jean-Doré Beach and La Ronde with the 767 - La Ronde / La Plage line.

Other bus lines also serve this sector. The 769 – La Ronde, which serves la Ronde, has been in service on weekends since May 19, the opening date of the amusement park. The 767 to the beach will come into service when Jean-Doré Beach opens this June 21.

“The STM will improve service to offer more public transit service from Jean-Drapeau métro station, particularly for the employees and clientele of Casino de Montréal. These improvements are also intended to support the growth in public transit ridership due to the work scheduled in Parc Jean-Drapeau over the next two years,” declared Mr. Philippe Schnobb, Chair of the Board of Directors of the STM.

“Société du parc Jean-Drapeau has long relied on public transit to welcome its visitors, and this commitment will be confirmed over the next two years. The STM clearly understands the mobility issues of Parc Jean-Drapeau and the proposed solutions will make it possible to offer quality service to all our users,” explained Mr. Ronald Cyr, General Manager of Société du parc Jean-Drapeau.

Remember that the STM will add 100,000 hours of bus service during 2017. Improvements and additions of service, which will be deployed each season with daily adjustments, will be announced for the entire territory of the Island of Montréal.
