Bus services to schools

Context

We provide a regular bus service to many schools and improve the commutes of thousands of students and school staff.

Some schools are in areas that can be hard to get to, while others are in areas where STM ridership is already very high. In some cases, and depending on our capacity, we provide additional bus service to make it easier to get to these schools.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know when a bus is making a school trip?

The front display of the bus will alternate between the line number and name and the word “ÉCOLE,” which indicates that it is making a school trip.

On the stop sign, the word ÉCOLE only appears if the regular line of the same number doesn't serve this specific stop. If both the school line and the regular line are offered at the same stop, only the latter is displayed on the sign.

Can anyone board a school trip?

Like our school lines, school trips can be used by all our customers at all times. Regular fares apply.

How do I plan my travels with school trips?

School trips aren’t listed in our customer tools. To view the schedules, find your school in the list below.

Why didn't my bus come today?

School services can be cancelled without notice on pedagogical days, holidays, floating holidays, summer break, and due to school-specific events.
