Bus services to schools
Bus network redesign 2026
With the bus network redesign and the arrival of the Anse-à-l'Orme REM, changes for certain schools will take effect. Find your school in the list below to see if your service will change.
Context
We provide a regular bus service to many schools and improve the commutes of thousands of students and school staff.
Some schools are in areas that can be hard to get to, while others are in areas where STM ridership is already very high. In some cases, and depending on our capacity, we provide additional bus service to make it easier to get to these schools.
School lines
These 3 lines provide service to schools and are part of our regular service offering. Schedules and routes can be viewed on all our customer tools.
- 56 Saint-Hubert (Collège Ahuntsic)
- 126 Thimens / Grenet (École secondaire Saint-Laurent)
- 444 Express Marie-Victorin (Cégep Marie-Victorin)
Starting with the launch of the bus network redesign
- Line 56 Saint-Hubert will be extended to Rosemont station and become part of the regular network. The line will therefore operate Monday through Sunday, year-round.
- Line 126 Thimens/Grenet will be replaced by line 64 Grenet, which is part of the high-frequency bus network. This line will operate Monday through Sunday, year-round.
- Line 444 Express Marie-Victorin will remain unchanged.

In some cases, we modify the schedule or route of a regular bus line to get our riders to school more quickly or at better times.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know when a bus is making a school trip?
The front display of the bus will alternate between the line number and name and the word “ÉCOLE,” which indicates that it is making a school trip.
On the stop sign, the word ÉCOLE only appears if the regular line of the same number doesn't serve this specific stop. If both the school line and the regular line are offered at the same stop, only the latter is displayed on the sign.
Can anyone board a school trip?
Like our school lines, school trips can be used by all our customers at all times. Regular fares apply.
