Replacement of catch basins at Georges-Vanier station

Replacement of catch basins at Georges-Vanier station

On August 5, 2024, we’ll start replacing the catch basins inside Georges-Vanier station. The work is scheduled to wrap up in September 2024. Some of the work will be carried out at night.

Impact on customer trips

The station will remain open during normal operating hours.

Impact on local residents

The basins are located inside the entrance building, near the doors. Since the station only has one entrance, we have to do the work overnight, when the métro is closed.

  • There will be trucks outside the station at times for approximately 6 to 7 weeks.
  • To replace the basins, we’ll need to remove the granite flooring using mechanical equipment. Depending on where you live, you may hear some noise coming from the station. This part of the work will take 3 to 4 weeks, starting on August 8.
