Montréal, December 16, 1996 - Next December 18, 19 and 20, in a number of métro stations, a team specially appointed by the STCUM will be promoting the Bus-Métro Pass (CAM) which will be made available exceptionally as of December 20, 1996 at the Berri-UQAM and McGill métro stations before being put on sale on December 26 in the rest of the network.
The STCUM would also like to remind its customers that this monthly fare is not only an excellent Holiday gift-giving idea but also an exceptional buy since its holders will be able to take advantage of attractive discounts from a number of businesses.
Indeed, as of next January, holders of CAM, CTAM and Carte métropolitaine passes will be able to benefit from rebates at Burger King, Pharmaprix, Place Montréal Trust, Nettoyeurs Daoust and Nettoyeur Michel dry cleaners, the IMAX theatre, the Super Club Vidéotron and Funtastique Travel who, in addition, will offer the chance to win a trip for two to France, the drawing to be held next May.
A November survey has indicated that the CAM EXTRA program launched only last September had already attained 77% overall recognition and about 20% of CAM holders had taken advantage of privileges conferred by their monthly pass, results that we consider very satisfactory in view of the project's very recent launching.
Lastly, it should be remembered that in order to have a chance to win the first trip for two in the Dominican Republic offered by Club Med, holders of September, October, November and December monthly passes have until January 11, 1997 to deposit their filled-out pass in the contest box located at the Berri-UQAM station (near the surveillance station).
