Inaugurated in June 1976, with two entrances, the station serves the Hochelaga district of the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough.

Architect: Marcel Raby (City of Montréal).

Opened: June 1976.

Origin of name: rue Joliette refers to Barthélémy Joliette (1789-1850), who founded a village in the mid-1820's, Industry Mills, today known as Joliette.

Did you know? This station was designed by the same architect, Marcel Raby, and features the same seats as station Pie-IX.

Information screens

This station is equipped with two platform-mounted screens displaying train running times in real time. In the event of service disruption, additional information is displayed.

Information terminals

This station is also equipped with a customer information terminal displaying real-time bus schedules. The terminal is located in the north entrance (Access A) - 3575, Hochelaga street.

How do I get to the special shuttle in case of a métro service interruption?

Two stops are available at this station and the signs are easily identifiable since they are green, the color of the métro line they serve.

  • Pictogram special shuttle Green line Eastbound towards Honoré-Beaugrand: at the 53037 stop, located on the south side of Hochelaga, between Joliette and de Chambly.
  • Pictogram special shuttle Green line Westbound towards Angrignon: at stop 53038, located on the north side of Hochelaga, at the corner of Aylwin.

This shuttle is not free, the regular fare applies.
