The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) will be handing out mobile device straps in eight busy métro stations on December 18 and 19.

In all, 5,000 free straps will be handed out by promotional teams at the following times:

  • December 18
    • Morning peak period: Berri-UQAM and Bonaventure stations
    • Afternoon peak period: Lionel-Groulx and Jean-Talon stations
  • December 19:
    • Morning peak period: McGill and Université-de-Montréal stations
    • Afternoon peak period: Place-des-Arts and Rosemont stations

The promotional teams will circulate in the targeted stations during the above times and will be easy to spot.

The straps are easy to put on and allow users to hold on to their phone securely, reducing the risk of it being accidentally dropped. This initiative is part of the STM’s campaign, launched this fall, aimed at reducing service disruptions caused by customers.
