The Fête des neiges with the Family outings program and snow scooters are the perfect combination!

Press release

Montréal, January 19,  2012 –  The Société de transport de Montréal (STM), proud partner of the Fête des Neiges, invites everyone to join in the activities that will take place at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Saturdays and Sundays from January 21 to February 5 inclusively.

During these weekends, the STM will have snow scooters made from recycled bus benches available for the delight of young and old. Races are scheduled and prizes will be drawn among participants.

This event is the perfect opportunity for adults who wish to attend the festivities with their children to take advantage of the Family Outings program. Indeed, this program allows one adult with a valid fare card to ride public transit for free with up to five children under 12 on Saturdays, Sundays, and on legal holidays.

Upon presentation of your valid fare card and discount coupon, this program also allows customers to benefit from other attractive discounts among 25 partners linked to tourism, cultural, and leisure industries. With Family Outings, public transit is, without a doubt, the best option to visit different points of interest in Montréal.

For more information regarding partners associated with this program, or to download discount coupons, please visit: http://www.stm.info/English/info/a-famille-3.htm A wealth of useful public transit travel tips is also available on the website.

All STM fare cards are accepted. However, the Family Outings program does not apply to the 747 bus line linking Montréal-Trudeau airport to downtown.
