L'homme est un roseau pensant 3 (2007)

Stainless steel
Programme d’intégration des arts à l’architecture du gouvernement du Québec
Location: outside the station

This sculpture suggests several shapes: the mast of a ship, a sinuous reed, a dragonfly. Its vertical shape serves as a counterpoint to the horizontal lines of the station’s entrance pavilion.

Did you know?

The sculpture also serves as a landmark, standing out among this busy area to announce the presence of the métro station.

About the artist

Born in Warsaw (Poland) in 1952 into a family of sculptors, Jacek Jarnuszkiewicz moved to Québec in 1963. His works can be found, among other places, at the Pointe-à-Callière museum, the Atwater market, and the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec.
