Les employés ont entériné l’entente dans une proportion de 97 %. Notons que le conseil d’administration de la STM avait lui-même entériné l’entente en assemblée spéciale le jeudi 7 mars dernier, conditionnel à l’acceptation de cette dernière par les employés en assemblée syndicale.
Montréal, February 28, 2019 – Following marathon negotiations from February 25 to 28, 2019, under the guidance of STM chief executive officer Luc Tremblay and union president Gleason Frenette, and further to the recommendation of the mediator appointed by the Government of Quebec, a late-night agreement was reached, concluding negotiations on the renewal of the collective agreement.
Both parties committed to filing the agreement with their respective authorities, namely the STM Board of Directors and the general assembly of union members.
Montréal, le 28 février 2019 – Après une période marathon de négociation qui s’est échelonnée du 25 au 28 février dernier, sous l’égide du Directeur général de la STM, Luc Tremblay et du président du Syndicat, Gleason Frenette, et suite à la recommandation du médiateur nommé par Québec, une entente est intervenue tard dans la nuit afin de conclure les négociations portant sur le renouvellement de la convention collective.
More specifically, the work, which will start on March 18 and go until December, will include:
- Replacement of sewer, aqueduct and gas conduits
- Construction of electrical infrastructure
- Refurbishment of the road
- Refurbishment of sidewalks
- Replacement of lighting
- Improvement of landscaping design
Obstructions
Plus précisément, ces travaux, qui débuteront le 18 mars pour se poursuivre jusqu’en décembre, consisteront :
- au remplacement de conduites d’égout, d’aqueduc et de gaz;
- à la construction d'infrastructures électriques;
- à la réfection de la chaussée;
- au réaménagement des trottoirs;
- au remplacement de l’éclairage;
- à l’amélioration de l’aménagement paysager.

If the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is recognized for its citizen engagement, it is mainly thanks to its active and retired employees. With donations from nearly 3,500 participants, the 56th edition of its annual generosity campaign raised $696,450 for four chosen organizations.
This large workplace fundraising campaign is in support of organizations that work to improve the daily quality of life of thousands of people, whether it be families in need, disaster victims or people with chronic diseases.

Ainsi, pour la 56e édition de la campagne annuelle de générosité, 696 450$ ont été recueillis en 2018 et remis à quatre organismes sélectionnés, grâce aux dons provenant de près de 3500 participants.
As announced this morning by Montréal Mayor Valérie Plante, the STM, in conjunction with the ARTM, is proud to support Ville de Montréal’s policy on children, with a transit fare donation agreement.
The STM is committed to support Montréal by offering transit fares that will be distributed to schools, day camps and selected organizations that work with underprivileged youth aged 6 to 17. The goal is to provide easy access to various extracurricular, sports and cultural activities.
