Due to constraints related to accessibility work at Édouard-Montpetit station and the location of the track switches required to turn trains around, the STM must exceptionally close Acadie, Outremont, Édouard-Montpetit, Université-de-Montréal, Côte-des-Neiges and Snowdon (Blue line only) métro stations, from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 30.
The Blue line will stay open between Parc and Saint-Michel stations. The Orange line will also be open at Snowdon station, allowing customers to travel to Jean-Talon station.
En raison de contraintes liées aux travaux d’accessibilité à la station Édouard-Montpetit et compte tenu de l’emplacement des appareils de voies nécessaires au retournement des trains, la STM est dans l’obligation de fermer exceptionnellement les stations de métro Acadie, Outremont, Édouard-Montpetit, Université-de-Montréal, Côte-des-Neiges et Snowdon (ligne bleue seulement) de 5h30 à 19h le dimanche 30 avril prochain.
Starting today, the City of Montréal, in collaboration with the Société de transport de Montréal (STM), is inviting residents of the agglomeration of Montréal aged 65 and over to load their OPUS cards with a Free 65+ All Modes A transit fare. The new fare, which will become valid on July 1st, 2023, will allow seniors to take public transit for free within Zone A (the Island of Montréal), including bus, métro, paratransit, commuter train and the REM, once it is in service.
La Ville de Montréal, en collaboration avec la Société de transport de Montréal (STM), invite dès aujourd’hui les résidentes et les résidents de l’agglomération de Montréal âgés de 65 ans et plus à procéder au chargement du titre GRATUITÉ 65+, Tous modes A. Ce nouveau titre, qui entrera en vigueur le 1er juillet 2023, leur fera bénéficier du transport collectif gratuit en zone A (agglomération de Montréal), que ce soit pour se déplacer en bus, en métro, en transport adapté, en train de banlieue et avec le REM lorsqu’il sera en service.
On April 15, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is launching a pilot project allowing cyclists to bring their bikes into the métro network during extended hours. On that date, the following new terms will enter into effect:
Extended weekday hours
- Monday to Friday: métro opening–7:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.–métro closing
- Weekends and holidays: all day
All-day access in summer

The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is announcing today the commissioning of a new elevator at McGill station, allowing access to the Angrignon platform from the street. By combining this elevator with the one connecting the mezzanine to the Honoré-Beaugrand platform, which was commissioned last fall, the station officially becomes the 26th station in the métro network to be universally accessible.
La Société de transport de Montréal (STM) annonce la mise en service dès aujourd’hui d’un nouvel ascenseur à la station McGill permettant d’accéder au quai direction Angrignon à partir de la rue. En combinant cet ascenseur à celui reliant la mezzanine au quai direction Honoré-Beaugrand qui a été mis en service l’automne dernier, la station devient officiellement la 26e du réseau de métro à être universellement accessible.
