In the interest of responsible project management, the STM has decided to issue a notice of default to EDT GCV Civil s.e.p., comprised of EBC inc., Dragados Canada Inc. and Groupe TNT Inc., the companies currently performing excavation, concrete and backfilling work as part of the Côte-Vertu garage project. The notice states that the company has five days to provide the STM with satisfactory solutions to a number of breaches of contract in order to control costs and limit schedule delays.
En gestionnaire de projet responsable, la STM prend la décision de transmettre un avis de défaut à EDT GCV Civil s.e.p., formé de EBC inc., Dragados Canada Inc. et Groupe TNT Inc., responsable de l’excavation, du bétonnage et du remblaiement dans le cadre du projet du garage Côte-Vertu. Selon cet avis, l’entreprise dispose de cinq jours pour proposer à la STM des solutions satisfaisantes à plusieurs défauts contractuels, pour un meilleur contrôle des coûts et limiter les retards dans l’échéancier.
Montréal, November 12, 2020 – The Société de transport de Montréal (STM), principal contractor of the Blue line extension, welcomes the filing of the report of the Commission that led the public consultation process deployed in February and March. A number of the recommendations contained in the report confirm that the STM’s efforts are on track, and the STM will take the aspects raised by the commissioners into consideration to enhance the project.
Montréal, le 12 novembre 2020 – La Société de transport de Montréal (STM), maître d’ouvrage du prolongement de la ligne bleue, accueille favorablement le dépôt du rapport de la Commission qui présidait la démarche de consultation publique tenue en février et mars derniers. Plusieurs des recommandations confirment que le travail de la STM progresse déjà dans la bonne direction et la Société prendra en considération les éléments soulevés par les commissaires pour contribuer à enrichir le projet.

Since the start of the pandemic, the STM has been committed to doing everything possible to ensure the safety of its public transit network for users and employees and throughout its facilities. Continuing this commitment, it has adopted a new program implemented by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) aimed at restoring users’ confidence and encouraging them to use public transit despite the pandemic.
Depuis le début de la pandémie, la STM est engagée à tout mettre en place pour contribuer à assurer la sécurité de son réseau de transport collectif et ce, autant pour ses clients, pour ses employés que dans ses installations. Montréal, November 19, 2020 – The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is announcing the implementation of its reserved lane for buses and taxis on Langelier Boulevard, between Dumesnil Street and Sherbrooke Street East in the Saint-Léonard and Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve boroughs, in both directions, starting November 23, 2020.
