Board committees

What purpose do the committees serve?

The purpose of the board of directors’ technical committees, each of which has a specific focus, is to contribute to the good governance of the Société and to assist in the exercise of its functions.

History and composition

Most of the board committees were created between 2006 and 2008 as part of the review process of the Société’s rules of governance.

They are made up of members from the board of directors, independent external members and the chairman of the board of directors as an ex-officio member. Each committee also includes the following participants: the Chief Executive Officer, a co-ordinator from the ranks of upper management and the Corporate-Secretary of the Société (or someone delegated by this person) who assumes the function of Permanent Secretary.
