Elevator access to the métro
All passengers may use the elevators, particularly those with limited mobility or in a wheelchair.
They are located in 27 metro stations.
To plan your trips:
Orange line: possible connection with the Blue line at Jean-Talon and Snowdon métro stations, and with the Green line at Berri-UQAM and Lionel-Groulx métro stations.
Green line: possible connection with the Orange line at Berri-UQAM and Lionel-Groulx métro stations.
Blue line: possible connection with the Orange line at Jean-Talon and Snowdon métro stations.
Yellow line: no connection possible.
Berri-UQAM station: only the Orange and Green lines are accessible by elevator.
Elevator out of order?
You arrive on the platform and the elevator is out of service? Locate the sticker that identifies the next 2 stations equipped with elevators and follow these steps:
- Identify the next métro station with an elevator
- Board the next métro and get off at this station
- Once at the station, take the elevator and go to the opposite platform
- Take the métro and make your way back to your original station. Then, take the elevator on the opposite platform.
Tip: Be sure to check the elevator service status to confirm that the elevators on your route are all in service.
Elevator service status
You can consult the elevator service status at any time. This information is also available on our home page, in the banner below the map, as well as by phone, at 514 STM-INFO (786-4636) by selecting option 2 or 4.
At certain times, the elevator service status posted online could differ from the situation on-site, due to an update delay.
Getting around in a wheelchair
Stations with elevators that can be reached from street level. Click on the name of the station to know how to access the elevators of this station.
In stations with the new signage, the elevators are numbered.
In stations with multiple levels accessible by elevator, such as Berri-UQAM or Jean-Talon, there are vertical maps of the elevators to help you visualize the route through the station’s different levels.
When planning your route, it’s a good idea to write down or memorize the order in which you must take the elevators to get to the right platform.
