The STCUM Selects the Cossette Advertising Agency
Montréal, January 15, 1997 - The members of the STCUM Board of Directors have retained the COSSETTE advertising agency to handle its communications, advertising and marketing mandates until December 1999. The forecasted yearly budget is 2 million dollars.
Modifications to Route 178 - Laurentien
Montréal, January 13, 1997 - The Montréal Urban Community Transit Corporation wishes to remind its customers that bus service on Route 178 - Laurentien is from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and that there is no Saturday and Sunday service. This reminder is made necessary because of a mistake in the Planibus for Route 178.

Shorter Trains on Weekends on the Métro's Line 1 - Green
{C}Montréal, January 6, 1997{C} - The STCUM wishes to advise its customers that as of Saturday January 11, 1997, trains on the métro's line 1 - green will consist of six cars instead of nine on weekends and holidays. This measure, already in effect on line 2 - orange, has allowed the STCUM to make substantial savings while maintaining the same frequency and quality of customer service.
New Rates for the New Year
Montréal, December 30, 1996 - The STCUM wishes to advise its customers that new fare rates will be in effect as of next January 1st. The new rates are as follows: regular fare bus/métro pass - $45, reduced fare CAM monthly pass - $19, regular fare 6-ticket strip - $8, reduced fare 6-ticket strip - $4. Cash fares will remain the same: regular fare - $1.85, reduced fare - $1, as will the cost of a tourist pass - $5/1 day, $12/3 days.
Information for STCUM Customers - Holiday Period Schedule
Montréal, December 20, 1996 - The STCUM wishes to advise its customers that buses will run on different schedules on next December 25 and 26, as well as on January 1 and 2.
December 25 and January 1
Buses will run on the Sunday schedule except for routes 33, 43, 44, 48, 141, 187 and 193 which will be on a modified schedule. To find out more about these schedules and better plan your trips, please contact Telbus at the number posted at your bus stop.
The STCUM CAM (Bus-Métro Pass) Will be Accepted at the Longueuil Métro Station as of January 1st.
Montréal, December 20, 1996 - The Montreal Urban Community Transit Corporation (STCUM) wishes to inform its customers that as of January 1st, 1997, the Bus-Métro pass will be accepted at the Longueuil station, on the métro's yellow line.
A New Planibus
Montréal, December 19, 1996 - The STCUM has reprinted all of its Planibus for the network's regular and night service routes to reflect the changes that will come into effect on January 6, 1997. These Planibus pamphlets - in effect until June 15, 1997 - will be available as of January 3, 1997:
