OPUS à l'année is an annual subscription program valid for all modes (bus, métro, train, REM* and paratransit network) in zone A (the agglomeration of Montréal) .

You will automatically receive a Loyalty fare in 2023.
Conditions
2022 Loyalty fare
- Valid for all full fare OPUS à l’année subscribers starting no later than January 1, 2022.
- Subscribers who meet all criteria will automatically qualify for the promotion.
- To qualify for this promotion, members cannot suspend or otherwise interrupt their annual subscription; if subscription is cancelled and member subscribes again, said member will be excluded from this promotion.
- Subscribers who meet all criteria will receive a $5 discount each month on transit fares in effect in 2023.
- These conditions are in addition to the general conditions that apply to OPUS à l’année subscriptions.
Make your life easier
The basic idea
- You subscribe
- You receive your OPUS card at home pre-loaded with your monthly pass
- You pay by monthly bank debits or charging it to your credit card until you terminate your subscription
That’s all there is to it.
The advantages
On the 12th day of the first month and the 15th day of each subsequent month, the cost of the monthly pass will be automatically debited to your bank account or credit card, whichever you choose.
Your monthly fares will automatically be loaded on your OPUS card. No need to think about it, no need for extra trips every month!
You'll receive a new OPUS card (applicable card fees). Your card will be activated and ready for use from the very first day of the month your subscription begins. If you did not receive your OPUS card on the first day of the month, see a métro station agent at the fare booth to get a new card free of charge.
Have you lost your card? No problem! As it is now registered. Go to see a métro station agent at the fare booth with a photo ID. You will be given a new OPUS card charged with any fares remaining on the old card. You will pay only the cost of a new OPUS card.
Your subscription to the program remains in effect each month until you decide to terminate it. You cannot suspend your annual subscription. Once it is cancelled, you will lose all the benefits associated with your annual subscription.
To cancel your subscription, you must inform us before the 10th day of the month in which you want it to end. For example, if you want to terminate your subscription on October 31, you must advise us before October 10.
When does your subscription begin?
Subscribe before the 11th of the month to have your subscription begin the first of the following month.
For example,
- If you subscribe on October 8, your subscription will begin on November 1.
- If you subscribe on October 14, your subscription will begin on December 1.
NOTICE: Customers aged 65 and up – Residents of the agglomeration of Montréal
Good news—you’re about to ride for free!
It is no longer possible to subscribe at the reduced fare for people 65 years and over because, starting July 1, 2023, public transit in Zone A (the agglomeration of Montréal) will be free for Montréal residents aged 65 and over!
Already a 65+ reduced-fare subscriber ?
Your subscription at the reduced fare for people 65 years and over will be cancelled automatically on June 30, 2023.

Lost or damaged card
In the event of a lost or damaged card, go to see a métro station agent at the fare booth as soon as possible to replace it.
Upon presentation of personal identification and validation of your subscription, a new OPUS card will be issued in your name containing the monthly fare that was already on the lost or damaged card. You will be charged the replacement fee currently in effect.
Unsubscribing
Your subscription to the program will continue each month, until you decide to end it. You may terminate your subscription by giving advance notice by email to stm@fusiumsolutions.com, by phone to 514-333-9815 or via your online account.
A request for such cancellation received between the 11th day of the preceding month and the 10th day (inclusively) of the current month will take effect on the last day of that month.
For example: to cancel your subscription at December 31, your cancellation notification must be received by the STM between November 11 and December 10 inclusively. If the notice is received on December 11 or later, the subscription will end January 31.
