The STM releases a holiday collection

News

Given the popularity of its famous holiday sweater, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is releasing a special collection of holiday items that lovers of puns and public transit will truly enjoy.

The STM holiday sweater is back! This year, it comes with new festive items that are just in time for gift-giving season. In addition to the famous red sweater featuring a map of the Montréal métro decked with fun and festive versions of each station name, new holiday items are now available exclusively at the Boutique STM.

The iconic sweater, now in green!

Last year, the original holiday sweater made its debut at the Boutique STM, and the first batch sold out almost entirely in the first 24 hours. By popular demand, the red sweater is back on the shelves this year, and now it is also available in green.

The long-sleeve, crew-neck fleece sweater, designed and printed in Quebec, is sure to break the ice and make everyone laugh at any holiday dinner. It is available for $44.95 (plus tax).

Reusable bags, perfect for holiday shopping

Another new product this year is a reusable bag, made in Quebec, that features festive métro station puns. This 100% polyester tote bag comes with sturdy green nylon straps, black lining, and an inside pocket for $29.99 (plus tax). It’s perfect for holiday shopping trips and carrying around mountains of gifts to your holiday parties.

Festive socks for Christmas stockings

The STM is also selling festive socks with a reimagined métro map. Retailing at $15.99 (plus tax) per pair, these Quebec-made socks are sure to please the public transit users in your life. A great idea for office gift exchanges!

Proceeds raised for the STM generosity campaign

The STM has made a special agreement with Transgesco, one of its subsidiaries, to donate all proceeds from the sale of these festive items to the STM generosity campaign. The total amount raised will be split equally between the four main causes supported by the STM: Centraide of Greater Montreal, the Canadian Red Cross, Réchaud-Bus and HealthPartners-Quebec. Last year, the sale of 710 festive sweaters raised $7,100 for these causes.

The holiday collection will be available on the STM’s online store, the only site that sells authentic STM merchandise. Purchases can be picked up at the store or delivered for a fee. Products are offered for a limited time or while supplies last.
