Closure of Fabre, d’Iberville and Saint-Michel stations: Update of the special shuttle route

News

Montreal, October 7, 2024 – Starting today, the STM is adjusting the route of the special bus shuttle in service between Saint-Michel and Jean-Talon stations in order to reduce travel time and improve the customer experience in light of the exceptional situation causing the closure of Fabre, d’Iberville and Saint-Michel stations.

Although a bus service cannot completely replace the capacity and reliability of the metro, the STM has established a new route that will significantly reduce travel times thanks to a police presence at key locations and the collaboration of the SPVM, the City of Montreal and the affected boroughs.

These buses are in service from the opening to the closing of the metro. The service and high frequency are adjusted in real time on the ground in order to deploy the vehicles optimally.Stops are subject to change depending on conditions on the ground.

Several bus lines serve one or more stations among those impacted, visit the dedicated web page for more information.

The STM regrets the inconvenience this exceptional situation is causing to its customers and to the flow of travel in the sector. These are extraordinary and temporary measures. The STM will be able to provide an update on the situation as soon as the expert assessments are finalized.
