Press release

Plamondon Station
Van Horne street entrance closed June 18 to August 26, 2007

Montreal, June 14, 2007 - The STM wishes to inform clients that, as part of the repair work being carried out at Plamondon métro station since last May 22, the south side entrance on Van Horne avenue will be closed from June 18 to August 26, 2007.

In order to minimize the potential impact on transit users, the STM has taken measures to maintain easy access to the station from the north side entrance located between Plamondon and Barclay streets. Thus, the 161 – Van Horne bus route will be deviated onto other streets, as illlustrated, while these repairs are underway:

  • Eastbound direction: Van Horne Avenue –Lemieux St. – Plamondon Avenue – Victoria Avenue – Van Horne Avenue

  • Westbound direction: Van Horne Avenue – Lavoie St. – Barclay Avenue – Lemieux St. – Van Horne Avenue

The work consists mainly of replacing windows and repairing floor slabs and staircases. Their realization is part of phase II of the Rno-Stations renovations programme.

Transports Québec and the STM are financial partners in carrying out this programme.

The STM apologizes to all clients for any inconvenience this closed entrance may cause them and wishes to thank all for their patience and understanding.
