With the recent installation of Point de mire by artist Francis Montillaud, the Montreal métro now boasts 100 works of art—a milestone that highlights the métro’s prominent role in the city’s artistic and architectural heritage.
The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is launching a public campaign to emphasize the importance of the métro’s role in society and, as a result, raise awareness of the need to properly maintain it so that it remains reliable and safe.

As part of the progress of the Blue Line Extension Project, the STM is continuing its efforts to mitigate the impact of construction on local mobility. Starting July 7, a new shuttle bus, line 814 Jean-Talon East / Bélanger, will be introduced to improve travel in the area affected by the construction sites. This supplementary service will run in a loop between Viau Street and Langelier Boulevard, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day, with a frequency of approximately 30 minutes.
In light of the positive results from the temporary security measures introduced in late winter, Société de transport de Montréal (STM) has announced that the move along order for STM facilities will be reintroduced through April 30, 2026.
