Last November 27, Marie Turcotte received an Individual Leadership Award from the Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA). This award of excellence recognizes a single major contribution made by an individual having resulted in the betterment of a public transit initiative on behalf of their organization.
The STM’s revamped website stm.info and the « Unlock your City » interactive treasure hunts were part of the honour roll at the Prix Boomerang awards gala held by Infopresse. For the past 19 years, Boomerang has been the award of reference in terms of interactive communications in Québec.

The STM confirms it has cancelled its plan to purchase seven electric “midibuses” from DesignLine, as that supplier has declared bankruptcy. Indeed, after it filed for bankruptcy protection in an American court last August, under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code, DesignLine sold off its assets on October 28, 2013. The STM had yet to take delivery of a midibus and, under the terms of the contract, no money had been paid out to DesignLine.

On April 17, the STM was given the Association sur l’accès et la protection de l’information (AAPI) Mérite award for its work in protecting customers’ privacy and personal information during the OPUS card rollout. The award was presented in Québec at the AAPI’s 21st annual conference.
